Hey Nations , I know we all know that daunting four letter word . We have come up with so many acronyms for it like False Evidence Appearing Real . We have all experienced this at one time or another and it can in fact be literally crippling.
One of my favorite verses in the word of God reminds me that this said fear is a spirit and that my father has not given it to me , therefore I do-not have to own it ,I love that . One of my favorite songs/scriptures also tells me that I have no reason to fear because the lord is my light and salvation , therefore whom shall I fear?
Guess what Nations , this does not stop fear from rising up . Then if we may ask ourselves what is the opposite of fear , some may say bravery , I say faith. When I become scared , I immediately believe that whatever is making me fearful is bigger than the God in me . How do I know ? My bible tells me that Greater is he in me than he that is in the world and therefore I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. So when I am scared , there is a part of me that does not believe I can be saved or helped from what I am facing.
If I believe that God is indeed bigger,even when I am faced with this enemy of fear I will not be overcome by it because there is this belief that I am bigger , stronger and well able to do or accomplish anything that is in front of me !
To encourage myself I am forced to go back into the archives and examine the things that God delivered me from when I was fearful.
I remember ,I loved soccer but it was my first game and I was so cared to the point that I was throwing up. I had to remind myself of the God I serve and his ability in me and that in Christ I can do all things ,eventually I captained that said team. I remember when I applied to college for my Masters in the US, I had no idea how and when the acceptance letter and finances will come . The only thing I had was a word from the lord that I would receive it and his word cannot return to him void meaning it has to accomplish whatever he said . Now I have my masters and I am in the field I studied.
These are just a few examples of the promises of God manifested when we trust him. Nations I want you to write down whatever that mountain is in your life right now ! I want you to get scriptures (use google) and declare that said mountain to move and it will no longer scare you because your God is stronger and well able . More importantly you have that same power in you to speak to that mountain and cast it into the sea and expect it to move .
So let’s replace that daunting four letter word with one of the most powerful four letter words I know - FAITH!! My acronym for this is fearless,assured, insurmountable trust in Holy Spirit !!!
